A CHKSTT scholarship has been established for HKU part-time MSc. students to apply with details of qualification as follows:

THE CRITERIA

1. Be a student member of CHKSTT for more than 6 months.

   ---

2. The scholarship shall be known as the CHKSTT scholarship.

   ---

3. The value of the scholarship shall be $10,000 per annum.

   ---

4. The scholarship shall be awarded to a second-year student who studies the degree of Master of Science in Engineering in the Department of Civil Engineering of The University of Hong Kong and has achieved the highest average mark in five core courses.

   ---

5. The student has to write a short summary report on any one of the technical meetings, forums or events organized by the CHKSTT.

   ---

6. In any year when candidates are judged to be of insufficient merit, no award shall be made.

   ---

7. The scholarship may be held concurrently with any other scholarships awarded. The recipient will be nominated by the University and approved by the board of CHKSTT
   
   Membership fee is waived for those who joined the Society first time on or before the end of October 2004 in the promotion period.
