Challenges in Rapidly Growing Cities
Delegates will be amazed at the amount of construction and new development currently taking place in Macao, a clear indication of the long term potential for trenchless construction in this rapidly growing city. Across the Pearl River, Hong Kong is in the middle of a 15 year programme to rehabilitate or replace half of their water mains and there are indications that sewer construction and rehabilitation market is expanding. The continuing rapid economic development in the Pearl River Delta (PRD) is indicative of the wider trenchless market in the region, particularly as Governments recognise the need to minimise traffic disruption during pipe rehabilitation in congested urban environments.
