The presentation went very well with 22 participants. Dr Wei Zhao, Research Director and Mr. Grant Whittle, Vice President, Ultraliner Inc. in the talk described the applicability for use and quality assurance capabilities of thermoformed pipeliners. Thermoformed (fold & form) pipeliners are pre-manufactured plastic pipes that are heated and expanded to conform tightly against the inside of a host pipe.
In North America, for the past 15 years, thermoformed pipeliners have been providing a higher quality assurance alternative to cured-in-place pipe. More than 7,000 km of thermoformed pipeliners have been installed across North America since 1993.
